Education for Montessori & Afterschool Children
Enniskerry Montessori & Afterschool Care offers education for pre-school children from 2.6yrs to 5yrs and Afterschool Care from junior infants to 4th class (4.5 to 10yrs).
Both services are "Term-Time" and run from September to June each year. This means we follow the primary school calendar and are closed for mid-terms, Christmas, Easter, Summer and all main Public Holidays.

We believe that children learn best through play and are inspired by child-based learning. We have several different areas of play both our Montessori and Afterschool sessions.

Homework
Our trained staff assist every child with their written and learning homework. This enables more quality family time in the evenings.
Outdoor
Children need to develop fine motor and gross motor skills. Healthy exercise and physical activities are also needed to promote the child's wellbeing.
Art
Our children will enjoy all types of creative arts and crafts. Sticking, gluing, cutting, pasting, painting, modeling clay are only a few of our wonderful activities.
Language
We introduce language through our phonics, songs and poems along with our sandpaper letters. We also incorporate basic Irish language.
Cultural
Our cultural themes exposure the children to different people and their cultures. Incorporating our continents and solar systems.
Math
Our math's program is designed to help improve children’s overall critical thinking and problem-solving skills. We use specific Montessori equipment for these fun lessons.
Literacy
In our Montessori we use the phonics method for teaching children to read and write along with alphabetic language.

ECCE & NCS Registered
Our Montessori session is registered with the ECCE - Early Childhood Care & Education program and our Afterschool is part of the NCS - National Childcare Scheme.
